At Roots Garden, we take great care in packing and delivering healthy plants and garden products. Since plants are living products, our return and refund policy is designed to be fair to both our customers and the nature of the products we sell.
1. Return Policy for Live Plants
Live plants are non-returnable once delivered, as they are delicate and perishable in nature.
However, we will offer a replacement or refund in the following cases:
- The plant is received in a damaged condition.
- The wrong plant or product is delivered.
- The plant is dead on arrival.
- The pot or product is broken during delivery.
To raise a complaint, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
2. Proof Required for Damage Claims
To help us verify the issue quickly, please share:
- Clear photos of the damaged plant/product.
- Photo of the outer packaging.
- Order details or invoice.
- An unboxing video, if available.
Claims reported after 24 hours of delivery may not be eligible for refund or replacement.
3. Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund
Refunds or replacements will not be provided in the following cases:
- Minor leaf damage, slight bends, or natural variation in plant shape.
- Damage caused after delivery due to improper care.
- Yellowing, wilting, or drying caused by overwatering, underwatering, lack of sunlight, or poor handling.
- Change of mind after delivery.
- Plants damaged due to delayed pickup, wrong address, or customer unavailability.
- Natural differences in size, color, or shape compared to website photos.
Please note that each plant is unique, and slight variation is natural.
4. Return Policy for Pots, Soil Mix, Accessories, and Non-Plant Products
Non-plant products may be eligible for return or replacement only if:
- The item is damaged during delivery.
- The wrong item is delivered.
- The item has a manufacturing defect.
The request must be raised within 24 hours of delivery with photos or video proof.
Returned products must be unused and in their original condition.
5. Replacement Policy
If your claim is approved, we may offer:
- Replacement of the same product, or
- Replacement with a similar product of equal value, or
- Refund, if replacement is not possible.
Replacement is subject to product availability.
6. Refund Policy
Once your refund request is approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method or another agreed method.
Refunds may take 5–10 business days to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.
Shipping charges, delivery charges, and payment gateway charges may not be refundable unless the issue is caused by Roots Garden.
7. Order Cancellation
Orders can be cancelled only before dispatch.
Once the order has been packed or shipped, cancellation may not be possible.

8. Delivery Issues
Roots Garden is not responsible for failed delivery caused by:
- Incorrect address provided by the customer.
- Customer not available to receive the order.
- Phone number not reachable.
- Delay in collecting the order from courier or delivery partner.
In such cases, refund or replacement may not be applicable.
9. Plant Care Responsibility
After delivery, the customer is responsible for proper plant care.
We are happy to guide you on plant care through WhatsApp or Instagram, but refunds cannot be issued for damage caused by incorrect care after delivery.
